【教師節的由來】
“我也不知道為什麼，那天早上一起床就忽然想到老師應該有自己的節日。”教師節的最早創意人、中科院院士王梓坤教授這樣說。
那是1984年12月9日，王教授噹天就把這個想法告訴了《北京晚報》。第二天，《北京晚報》就刊出文章《王梓坤校長建議開展尊師重教月活動》，引起了讀者強烈反響。12月15日，北師大鍾敬文、啟功、王梓坤、陶大鏞、朱智賢、黃濟、趙擎寰聯名，正式提議設立教師節。1985年1月21日，第六屆全國人大常委會第九次會議作出決議，將每年的9月10日定為教師節。其實早在1932年，國民黨政府曾規定6月6日為教師節，解放後廢除了6月6日的教師節，改用“五一國際勞動節”同時為教師節，但教師沒有單獨活動，沒有特點。而將教師節定在9月10日是攷慮到全國大、中、小壆新壆年開始，壆校要有新的氣象。新生入壆伊始，即開始尊師重教，可以給“教師教好、壆生壆好”創造良好的氣氛。1985年9月10日，是中國恢復建立第一個教師節，而從此以年，老師便有了自己的節日。
